Clergy of the Society of Jesus who worked mostly in Japan. Born around 1551, in Aldeia do Sisto, Porto, he died in Suzuta on 7 January, 1620. In 1579, in Japan, he was admitted to the Society. On 7 February, 1593, his training completed, he professed the vows of Temporal Coadjutor. All his work took place in Nagasaki, where he served in the role of Subminister, being Assistant to the Procurator in February 1613. He was still in Nagasaki November 1614, with Father Carlo Spinola´s group. On 13 December, 1618, he and Father Spinola were imprisoned. He died in the prison of Suzuta. |
