Anthroponyms seta ANDRÉ Kusa (1570-?)

Clergy of the Society of Jesus who worked mostly in Japan. Born in Chikugo in 1570, he was also known as André Kusano. He was admitted to the seminary in 1583 and to the Society in 1590. In 1601 he left for Macau and in 1603 he was finishing the third year of Examen of Consciousness. He was also companion of Japan?s procurator, a position he held at least from 1603 to the beginning of 1609. In July of the same year he must have returned to Japan. He was dismissed on 10th March, 1612.
