Clergy of the Society of Jesus who worked mostly in Japan. Born in Lisbon, he died in 1612. He studied at the Japanese seminary and there he joined the Society of Jesus in 1602. In 1603 he was a second year novice at Todos os Santos. Then he went to Macau, probably in October 1605, for on 15th November of that year he was a second year student. On 15th January, 1609, he was a first-year Theology student. Then he was ordained priest and died in 1612, when he travelled from Macau to Japan onboard a Japanese ship which was attacked by Chinese seamen, who massacred crew and passengers.
