Clergy of the Society of Jesus who worked mostly in Japan. He was born in the Bungo region around 1562 and died in Macau on 3rd October, 1629. He was admitted to the Society on 4th October, 1595, and worked at Kinai for a long time, namely in Osaka, between 1603 and 1606, and at the Sakai residence in 1607. In February 1613 he was back at Osaka, where he was a preacher. He left for exile in Manila in November 1614 and returned to Japan in 1616; then he went back to Macau, via Cochinchina (nowadays a region in southern Vietnam), in 1617.
