This nobleman of the Royal House left for India as a Fleet Captain in 1509. On his request, Duarte Lemos, the Commodore, demanded that an inquiry be made to the crew of his ship in order to determine the causes that forced them to moor at Aguada de São Brás. In 1510, he was engaged in the attack against Calecut under the command of Afonso de Albuquerque and, in that same year, he took part in the conquest of Goa, having vanished from records ever since.
