Left for India in 1505 as captain of the fleet of Dom Francisco de Almeida. In that same year, the viceroy sent him to Kollam, together with Dom Lourenço de Almeida, in order to avenge the death of António de Sá and his men; he did so by causing damage. In 1508 the viceroy ordered his ship to be dismantled.
