This knight was captain of Pedro Alvares Cabral´s fleet (1500). During the Muslim attack on the Trading Post of Calecut, he saved the life of António Correia, who was the son of Aires Correia. Perhaps as a result of this feat, when he returned to Lisbon, he became Storekeeper of the Storehouse of the Armadas. In 1518, a reference was made to his receiving the Order of Christ.
