Clergy of the Society of Jesus who worked mostly in Japan. He was born in Shimabara in 1570 and died in Nagasaki on 3rd September, 1632. He was also known as Amador. He joined the seminary in 1585 and the Society in 1589. In March 1601 he went to Macau to study and returned in 1604 or 1605. He was ordained priest in Japan in 1610 and remained there until November 1614; he then returned to Hiroshima, where he worked, probably since his return to Japan. He was still in the same region in the beginning of 1618, but on 7th March, 1623, he was in Nagasaki, where he signed, together with other Society priests, a manifest against the libel of the friars. He was captured in November 1629; he was tortured in Mount Unzen and burned alive in Nagasaki.
