A member of the Society of Jesus that mainly worked in Japan, he was born in Góis around 1575 and died in Macau on 27 January 1612. He entered the Society on 12 May 1593 and left for the East onboard São Martinho in the spring of 1597. He was the minister of the Goa college, and moved to Macau on an uncertain date, where he was already in October 1603. At that time, he was already a trained spiritual coadjutor, with the date of his priestly ordination being unknown. He then moved to Japan and was in the Arima residence in 1606, reaching the position of procurator of Nagasaki in the following year. He certainly returned to Macau in 1608, where he held the position of procurator of Japan, and died from some sort of disease.
