Clergy of the Society of Jesus who worked mostly in Japan. Born in Lisbon around 1556, he died in Macao on 12 December, 1631. He was admitted to the Society in 1583 in Japan. In 1592, he served at the seminary in Hachirao and, in 1603, managed the college at Arima, serving as Procurator. On 25 July, 1600, in Nagasaki, his training completed, he professed the vows of Temporal Coadjutor. He was a catechist in Nagasaki in 1606, 1607, and 1613. He departed for Macao November 1614. In December 1621, he left for the mission in Cochin-China (SouthernVietnam).
