Clergy of the Society of Jesus who worked mostly in Japan. Born around 1554 in Catanzaro, he died in Macao on 17 October, 1628. He was admitted into the Society October 1578. In the spring of 1584, he departed to the Orient aboard the ship, Bom Jesus, which also carried several of the other future missionaries to Japan: Celso Confalonieri, António Francisco Critana, Pedro Paulo Navarro, and Francisco Rodrigues. He arrived in Japan August 1586. All his work took place in the Shimo region. In 1589 and 1592 he worked in Amakusa and in 1598 he was in Katusa. Between 1603 and 1613, he was in Amakusa, heading the residence at Kozura. He departed for Macao November 1614. In 1599, his training completed, he professed the vows of Spiritual Coadjutor.
