Clergy of the Society of Jesus who worked mainly in Japan. He was born in Lisbon, and died in Macau, on 16 September 1605. He joined the Society in India, in April or May 1587. In India he was chosen to attend to the Bishop Dom Luís Cerqueira as a substitute of Brother Manuel João, who had remained in Mozambique. On 25 July 1600, he professed his vows as temporal coadjutor. In 1603 he was in Nagasaki, where he was companion of the procurator, and in that position he left for Macau, in December 1604.
