This knight of the Royal House left for India as captain of the fleet of Dom Fernando Coutinho in 1509. Between August and October 1510 he was part of the fleet that patrolled the Arabian Sea. In 1534 his name comes up as proxy of the Sesimbra Knight Commander in the Order of Santiago.
