A member of the Society of Jesus that mainly worked in Japan, he was born in Isahaya in 1566 and passed away in Macau on 23 July 1620. He accompanied the embassy to Europe between Japan and India and was one of the copyists serving Alessandro Valignano in Goa in November 1585. He was admitted into the Society on 4 October 1595 and was a master of Latin at the Arima college between 1603 and 1607. He received his subdeacon ordination in 1612 and became a deacon in 1613, leaving for exile in November 1614. He arrived in Malacca in 1616 receiving his priestly ordination in that year. He returned to Macau, where he was the head of the seminary in June 1618 and where he passed away soon after being appointed the rector of the college.
