Clergy of the Society of Jesus who worked mostly in Japan. He was born in Santarém around 1546 and died in Macau on 23rd August, 1623. He was admitted to the Society in Japan in 1577; in 1586 he served at the novitiate house in Usuki. In 1587 he left for Macau where he was ordained priest. He returned to Japan in 1590 and shortly after he moved to Omura, where he is referred to in 1595-96, in 1603 (at the time being at the Sonogi residence), and in 1606. He went on to Nagasaki, where he must have remained until he left Japan definitely in November 1614, with Macau as a destination. He professed his spiritual coadjutor vows in 1599.
