Clergy of the Society of Jesus who worked in Japan. He was born around 1534, and was a young artist in 1551, when he joined the Society in Lisbon. While still a novice, he was sent to Goa, accompanying Melchior Nunes Barreto in his voyage to Japan where, like the Provincial, he remained only three months. He returned to India afterwards, where he studied Grammar and Moral Theology, being ordained a priest in 1562. He went to Europe 1576-1578 and, shortly after returning to India in 1581, his membership in the Society was terminated.
