3rd Viscount of Vila Nova de Cerveira.

Son of Dom João de Lima, 2nd Viscount of Vila Nova de Cerveira, and of Dona Catarina de Ataíde. He was the father of four, by his first wife, Dona Isabel de Noronha, daughter of D. João de Almeida, 2nd Count of Abrantes. His second marriage, with Dona Filipa da Silveira, was childless. In 1508, he and his cousin Diogo Lopes de Lima joined the expedition intended to free Asilah from the siege carried out by the King of Fez. He stayed in Northern African at the command of a frontier trading post for an uncertain period of time.
